Câmara de Lobos is a typical fishing village. This city is named after the seals that lived here in caves, when the first visitors came to the Island (in Portuguese, seals are called lobo-marinho).
Cabo Girão or Cape Girão is the highest sea cliff in Europe and the second highest in the world. Don't miss the opportunity to admire a magnificent viewpoint that could only be afforded by a vantage point 580 m above sea level.
Ribeira Brava is a lovely coastal village where guests may visit the church, market or sit and have a coffee in one of the esplanades with expansive views of the sea.
Encumeada is a summit from where both sides of the island (north and south) can be seen at the same time (weather permitting).
On the way to Porto Moniz, guests discover one of the most beautiful points of the north coast - a road built on the rocks by the sea where they can admire the astonishing waterfalls.
Porto Moniz village located on the northwest coast is known for its volcanic swimming pools. Here, guests can visit The Living Science Centre and also the Aquarium in São João, a military building built in the 18th century.
Paul da Serra is the only plateau of the island at 1400 m.
The tour ends with a return to Funchal.
