Pico dos Barcelos is a viewpoint from where guests can admire a beautiful view over Funchal. Eira do Serrado is a viewpoint (1094 m) overlooking the valley of Curral das Freiras. It offers spectacular views of the little village built in the middle of a valley and the mountains. Guests also get to visit the village and taste some of the local liqueurs and chestnuts cake at the local bars.
Monte is a village in the suburbs of Funchal. Here, guests visit the Parish church and the surrounding gardens. Guests can also enjoy the famous sledge ride - toboggan - till Livramento. (This is optional and not included in the price). The toboggan is driven by men in white, called the ‘carreiros'. The last stop is at a wine cellar to taste the Madeira wines (not possible on Sundays and public holidays).
